The Lion King became the third-longest running Broadway show in history earlier this week. This production has run for 18 years and has played over 7,486 performances.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Welcomes Broadway Lineup


Cast members of The Fiddler on the Roof, Finding Neverland, The King and I, On Your Feet! and Something Rotten! will perform during the first hour of NBC’s broadcast of the 98th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. School of Rock will be jamming out later on in the broadcast. Make sure to tune in at 9 a.m on Nov. 26.

We Just Can’t WAITress

A casting update has been announced for Waitress: A New Musical starring Tony Award-winning actress Jessie Mueller (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical). The cast includes Eric Anderson (South Pacific, Kinky Boots, Rocky, The Last Ship) as Cal, Christopher Fitzgerald (An Act of God, Chicago, Young FrankensteinFinian’s Rainbow) as Ogie, Drew Gehling (Jersey Boys, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever) as Dr. Pomatter, Kimiko Glenn (“Orange Is The New Black,” Spring Awakening, Love’s Labour’s Lost) as Dawn, Dakin Matthews (The Audience Rocky, The Best Man) as Joe and Keala Settle (LES MISERABLES, Hands On A Hard Body) as Becky. This production will begin previews on March 25, 2016 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

On Your Feet! opens on Broadway


The musical based on the story of Grammy Award winners Emilio and Gloria Estefan opens tonight at the Marquis Theatre. Check back here for review updates!

Amazing Grace Sets Closing Date


The musical based on the story behind the iconic song will play its final performance on October 25. By the time of closing, Amazing Grace will have played a total of 24 previews and 114 regular performances. Don’t lose faith folks, a national tour is in the works! Stay tuned…

AT&T, You Just Got Patti LuPwned


THE QUEEN HAS SPOKEN and she urges you to drop AT&T! “I dropped them years ago, not because of an arrogant and ignorant spokesperson, but because their service stunk,” LuPone told Playbill.com. “I made the right decision to go with Verizon.” Read the rest of her statement here. Mann Steps In To Finding Neverland


Tony nominee Terrence Mann is returning to Broadway as Charles Frohman and Captain Hook in Finding Neverland. Mann will be replacing Anthony Warlow who replaced Emmy winner Kelsey Grammer during his summer hiatus. There is no news if Grammar will be returning to the production.  Mann will begin performances on September 29.

Tony Nominee Sydney Lucas to Depart From Fun Home


Lucas will play her final performance on October 4. Not to worry Fun Homies, Gabriella Pizzolo will take over the role of Small Alison beginning October 6.

Meet The Tucks


Principal casting has been announced for the much anticipated musical, Tuck Everlasting. This new musical will star 11-year-old Sarah Charles Lewis as Winnie Foster, Andrew-Keenan Bolger (Newsies) as Jesse Tuck, Carolee Carmello (Finding Neverland) as Mae Tuck, Michael Park (How to Succeed…) as Angus Tuck, Terrence Mann (Pippin) as the Man in the Yellow Suit, Fred Applegate (The Last Ship) as Constable Joe, Robert Lenzi (South Pacific) as Miles Tuck, Machel Wartella (Wicked) as Hugo and Valerie Write (Elf) as Betsy Foster. Tuck Everlasting directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (Something Rotten!, The Book of Mormon), will begin previews at Broadway’s Broadhurst Theatre on March 31.
