Choreographer On Board For The SpongeBob SquarePants Musical

Are ya ready, kids? Tony Award-winning choreographer, Christopher Gattelli joined the creative team of the Broadway-bound The SpongeBob SquarePants Musical. I’m excited to see some airborne choreography to music written by T.I., David Bowie, Cyndi Lauper and many others.

Hand To God Sets Closing Date

The lead producer of Hand To God announced on Wednesday that the Tony-nominated play will be closing on Jan. 3. Not to worry puppet lovers, the terrible Tyrone will make his way to the West End on Feb. 5.

Hedwig and the Angry Itch starring Taye Diggs is closing this Sunday. Originally set to be a limited engagement 16-week run, Hedwig has made audience members lift up their hands for over a year! Check out Taye’s interview with Broadway.com here.

Spring Awakening Begins Previews

Deaf West’s innovative production of Spring Awakening began previews this week. This exciting theatrical experience features a mix of 28 speaking and non-speaking actors, 20 of which made their Broadway debut! Spring Awakening opens on Sept. 27.

A Gentleman’s Guide To Love and Murder Sets Closing Date

The Tony Award-winning musical announced this week that it will be committing its final murders on Jan. 17. The closing cast features Tony Award-winning actor, Jefferson Mays and Bryce Pinkham.


2. Thank You For The Music, Mamma Mia!

This Saturday, Mamma Mia! dances and jives one last time after over 6,000 performances. Mamma Mia! has featured some of our favorite Broadway leading ladies over the last 14 years including Judy Kaye, Carolee Carmello, Dee Hoty and Beth Leavel.
