I’m Haley Doran: digital storyteller, copywriter, social media strategist and theatre enthusiast.
I’m the Social Media Marketing Associate at Simon & Schuster. My responsibilities include writing social media posts and blog posts for the Tips on Life and Love vertical. I’m the community manager of all of Simon & Schuster’s YouTube channels in addition to publishing daily videos. I write titles and descriptions for videos and make sure they are all SEO optimized. Lastly, I audit the company’s video views on a weekly basis across all social platforms.
I studied Journalism and Integrated Marketing Communications at the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College. I’m a member of The Society of Professional Journalists.
I was the full-time marketing intern at CBS Consumer Products in New York City from Jan. through Aug. of 2016. My responsibilities included writing social media and editorial content for the Star Trek franchise and TV City (Cheers, MacGyver, The Brady Bunch, The Twilight Zone, etc.) accounts. I assisted in developing a social media strategy for the Star Trek 50th Anniversary Campaign that included the coordination and promotion of an art exhibition, the promotion of a MAC Cosmetics Star Trek-inspired line, the promotion of Star Trek: Discovery and Star Trek Beyond and the promotion and coverage of Star Trek: Mission New York. I now intern part-time on the Star Trek account.
In the summer of 2015, I was the Content and Community Intern at SERINO/COYNE, a Broadway advertising agency in New York City. I wrote social media copy for accounts including An Act of God, It Shoulda Been You, The Phantom of the Opera and Trip of Love. In addition, I worked on a summer-long advertising pitch for The SpongeBob SquarePants Musical. I created social and interactive initiatives that would bring new life to the SpongeBob SquarePants brand, while effectively engaging target and secondary audiences.
In my free time, I can be found exploring NYC, tweeting, or not texting inside of a Broadway theatre.
